CL-YN.08; Y-10v; CCC-569; Duan-2759. Small “Tien”. Intense pinkish red blends remarkably well with rich mahogany brown on this piece that boasts a razor sharp strike from fresh dies. The English legend shows unusual doubled punching, especially on the G in “CHING”, though this is a somewhat special die characteristic and not included in the CL book on Chinese coppers. A highly desirable piece considering there are only four graded finer by PCGS in the Red Brown category and none finer in Red.
